OHSU paid execs $1M in bonuses this year: 7 things to know

Oregon Health & Science University, a public entity based in Portland, gave six top executives a combined $1 million in bonuses this year, according to a Portland Tribune report.

Here are seven things to know about the bonuses.

1. The total executive team payments totaled $1,075,938, or 27 percent of the executives’ combined current salaries, according to the report.

2. OHSU President Joe Robertson, MD, received a bonus of $396,447. That’s in addition to an annual salary of more than $1 million, as well as more than $150,000 in earnings from OHSU clinical enterprise, according to the Portland Tribune.

3. OHSU spokeswoman Tamara Hargens-Bradley did not disclose details about Mr. Robertson’s bonus, except to say Mr. Robertson “received additional payments … after meeting milestones established beyond his annual incentives,” according to the report.
