Scam emails promise jobs at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Emails offering congratulations and praise for meeting the requirements of non-existent jobs at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi are landing in the inboxes of medical professionals.

The phony communications request deposits from recipients that will be reimbursed at a later date to finalize the recruitment process, according to a report from The National. Though some aspects of the scam appear authentic, further inspection revealed the website and contact information to be fake.

“It’s unfortunate that large corporations are targeted with this type of fraudulent activity,” a CCAD spokesman said in a statement. “We are in direct contact with those who have been affected and have reported issues to us. We take these matters very seriously here at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.”
